Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down talk of a possible problem with Arjen Robben after the Dutchman was substituted in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Hoffenheim.

Robben was also withdrawn in Bayern's midweek Champions League game against PSV with the scores level, but Ancelotti has dismissed rumours he believes have been instigated by the press.

"Every time I take off Arjen Robben, people think there's a problem. But there isn't one -- only for the press," he said, quoted byESPN.

Asked about Robben's seemingly disgruntled attitude when he came off, Ancelotti said:"It isn't a problem at all. We shook hands after the game."

The Italian coach also bemoaned his side's luck, after both Mats Hummels and Thomas Muller struck the post in the latter stages of thegame.

"We knew before the game that Hoffenheim are having a good season and are a good team," Ancelotti added.

"We were taken by surprise in the first half, but we played really well after that and created a lot of opportunities to score.

"We deserved to win in the end, but were unlucky. These things can happen in football."

Defender Hummels also added his thoughts on the game - viaGoal- admitting that Bayern's start wasn't good enough.

"Hoffenheim put in a very aggressive performance. We did not have a good start, we have to admit that," he added.

"We improved after conceding ... we got plenty of good chances after the break and hit the woodwork twice. Those chances could have decided the match in our favour."
