Bayern Munich Mercilessly Ridicule Arsenal on Twitter After 10-2 Champions League Drubbing

Published on: 07 March 2017

Another Champions League last-16 two-legged affair, and another capitulation by Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal side.

Bayern Munich's 10-2 aggregate pummelling of the Gunners, thanks to Wednesday's 5-1 second leg thrashing, have certainly upped the pressure on Arsenal's failing manager, and the boos and jeers that rang down from the Emirates' stands told you all you needed to know about the growing disillusionment in North London.

The German giants, meanwhile, won't ever secure an easier passage to the quarter finals for the Champions League and, in what is becoming something of a staple of theirs, the club took to Twitter to mock their opponents with yet another barbaric tweet:

What time is it? Yep, it's ten to!  #UCL #ARSFCB pic.twitter.com/T2lDkvivkS

Utterly, utterly brutal from the reigning Bundesliga champions! Football fans, naturally, joined in to goad Gunners supporters over yet another humiliating defeat to Bayern too:

@FCBayernEN dude!! Haha!

It's looking increasingly likely that Wenger will bring the curtain down on his two-decade long reign at Arsenal but, whoever is in charge next term, Bayern's social media team will be watching, and waiting, and hoping for another chance to troll the club if they meet in the 2017/18 Champions League.
