German giants, Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing Moroccan goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou following his impressive performance at the ongoing Fifa World Cup in Qatar.

The Sevilla shotstopper has been targeted as a replacement for Manuel Neuer, who recently sustained an injury while skiing.

The Bundesliga side would have to pay the player’s 50 million euro release clause to terminate his contract with Sevilla, German newspaper TZ.

Bounou displayed some impressive performances during Morocco’s historic 2022 World Cup run, where the team became the first African and Arab one to reach the semi-finals.

The keeper kept a clean sheet in his games against Croatia, Spain, and Portugal, becoming the first African goalkeeper in the tournament’s history to record three clean sheets.

His performance in Qatar is reportedly also making him a target of other European heavy-hitters such as Real Madrid. Bounou will be in the post when the Atlas Lions come up against Croatia in the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup on Saturday.
