Bayern Star Midfielder Calls for Offensive Football From Arsenal Ahead of Champions League Clash

Bayern Munich have been training hard ahead of their Champions Leaguetie with Arsenal in midweek, and star midfielder Arturo Vidal has called on Arsene Wenger's men to play attacking football.

The sides meet once again in Europe's greatest club competition, with Wednesday's clash setto be their fourth last 16 meeting since the turn of the century.

The Germans have made it past the Gunners every time, but are not taking anything for granted ahead of the first-leg at the Allianz Arena.

Vidal wants Arsene Wenger's men to take the game to Bayern, as has not been the case, he feels, with teams facing them in the Bundesliga.

He told TZ, via the Mail: "Here in Germany, all teams set out to defend when they are playing Bayern. In the Champions League, all teams are trying to play football.

"I hope Arsenal will play like they have been playing all season in England and want to play football against us.

"Teams have to show what they are made of in Europe. That is why Bayern will show its true face in the Champions League."

The Chileandynamo was a latescorer in Bayern's 2-0 league win over strugglers Ingolstadt, sending them seven points clear at the top.

Arsenal meanwhile beat Hull City 2-0 in the Premier League and had a Chilean of their own inAlexis Sanchez to thank for scoring a brace, albeit one should not have stood for handball.

Those domestic results leave the tie delicately poised, and both sides will be looking to put in solid first-leg performances.
