BBC debunks media report of distancing itself from Anas 'Number 12' video

The BBC Africa has denied reports circulating that they have distanced themselves from Tiger Eye PI and Anas Aremeyaw Anas in their latest documentary dubbed 'Number 12'.

The BBC on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, says the reports circulating alleging it distance itself from the investigative journalist are completely untrue.

In a tweet on BBC News Africa’s official Twitter handle, they indicated that news going round that they are distancing themselves from Anas Aremeyaw Anas are completely false.

The BBC also stated that they are currently working with the ace investigator to bring out another piece. The award-winning journalist premiered the documentary which exposed the rot in Ghana football last month. This investigative piece has led to the suspension, resignations and dismissal of some football officials on the African continent, including then Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
