German-born Ghanaian forward Sirlord Conteh played a pivotal role in Paderborn's 3-1 victory over Elversberg in the Bundesliga 2 on Saturday.

The match, which took place at the Home Deluxe Arena, saw Paderborn improving their head-to-head record against Elversberg, which now stands at one win for Paderborn, one win for Elversberg, and no draws.

Conteh, who was born in Germany but represents Ghana at the international level, came off the bench in the 69th minute, replacing Filip Bilbija. He wasted no time making an impact, scoring Paderborn's third goal in the 75th minute with a right-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box. The goal was assisted by Ilyas Ansah, another German-born Ghanaian youngster who also entered the game in the 69th minute.

The scoring began in the 51st minute when Carlo Sickinger of Elversberg converted a penalty with a right-footed shot to the top left corner. However, Paderborn quickly responded with Adriano Grimaldi heading in a cross from Marcel Hoffmeier in the 54th minute. Raphael Obermair then gave Paderborn the lead in the 61st minute, converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

Conteh's goal in the 75th minute sealed the victory for Paderborn. The forward has been a key player for Paderborn this season, making 31 appearances and scoring three goals while also providing three assists in the league.
