Mohammed Kudus commends African legends for paving way for others to play in Europe

West Ham United winger, Mohammed Kudus, has commended African greats who played in Europe and paved the way for others like him to get the opportunity.

The 23-year-old reveals he aims to do same anytime he steps on the football pitch and how he carries himself off it.

Kudus has already become a mentor for a lot of youngsters back home in Africa after his big performances in Denmark, The Netherlands and England.

“All the guys that have been here as African players have paved the way for us to get the opportunity to get here,” he said in an EA Uncut interview posted on the Premier League’s YouTube channel.

“So my main goal and responsibility is also to keep putting light on where I'm from and then making scouts and agents believe that there are even more players better than me from Africa.”

Alongside his standout displays, Mohammed Kudus has netted a total of 13 goals across various competitions.

In the Premier League, he has found the back of the net seven times in 31 appearances. Furthermore, he has scored five goals in nine Europa League fixtures and one goal in three EFL Cup matches.
