Be dedicated and serve the club - Eric Bekoe charges Asante Kotoko players

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Eric Bekoe has called on the current playing body to be dedicated and serve the club, adding that he is now reaping greater financial rewards from the club after hanging his boots.

The 36-year-old made a lasting impact on the history of the Porcupine Warriors during the 2007/08 Ghana Premier League season.

Bekoe scored 17 goals from 23 games, leading the team to clinch the league title that season.

Bekoe believes that the true financial benefits of playing for Asante Kotoko are realized after retirement, especially when one has made a significant contribution to the club.

"When you are playing for Asante Kotoko, you don't experience the financial benefits until you have finished playing. It's only after you have left a mark that you start to enjoy," he shared with Joy Sports.

"At present, I can confidently say that I am enjoying greater financial benefits from Asante Kotoko than when I was actively playing. The fans remember the things I have accomplished. Whenever I go somewhere, they treat me exceptionally well and provide me with top-notch treatment."

Bekoe's remarks highlight the appreciation and recognition he receives from the fans for his past contributions to Asante Kotoko.
