Bechem United CEO Nana Kwesi Darling admits playing in Africa will be difficult

Chief Executive Officer of Bechem United, Nana Kwesi Darling has admitted that playing the CAF Confederations Cup in Africa will be difficult.

Bechem United were crowned winners of the Ghana MTN FA Cup after beating Okwahu United by 2:1 at the newly built Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Exciting attacker, Yaw Arnol struck a double to win 2016 MTN FA Cup title for Bechem United as the Hunters claimed a 2-1 win over Okwawu United.

Arnol hit the opener for Bechem on the 55th minute mark but Akoto Danso levelled for the Soccer Mountaineers before Arnol sealed the win for the Brong Ahafo Region-based side but the Nana Kwesi Darling admit playing in Africa will be difficult.

Speaking to Asempa Sports in an interview, Nana Kwesi said, “It feels very good to be the MTN FA Cup winner because I thought it was a dream but now it has manifested in reality.

“It was the ambition of the owner that the team will own it private jet and will be at the level of TP Mazembe. When we met to discuss all these things we all had the same ambitions and I must say that I am impressed with the development.

“Going to Africa will be difficult but we are preparing towards it because we know that teams always complain when they go to Africa but we will go there and make sure that we play to expectation.

Quizzed on how he see the performance of striker Abednego Tetteh, Nana said, “I am very happy with his performance because we had a trial match with Okwahu United and we saw his performance and we brought him to the team and from there his performance have been really impressive and if things works very well I know and I believe he can win the goal king.”
