Bechem United coach Seth Osei Wire has expressed his disappointment following his outfit tenth place finish in the Ghana Premier League.

The 2023/24 Premier League season officially came to an end on Sunday, June 16, 2024, with Samartex emerging as winners.

The Hunters placed 10th on the league standings, accumulating 48 points at the end of the campaign.

On final Premier League day, the Hunters succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Hearts of Oak, who were desperate for points for survival at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park

Asked if he is impressed with how the team finished the season, he said, “No, we wanted to come up a little but it didn’t work. We can’t do anything about it so we will take it like that”

Explaining his sides defeat to Hearts, he said, “We didn’t create much chances. The only two chances that we had we scored. Two of our centre-backs were unavailable because of cards accumulation. There a bit lapses in the defense and they scored us”

“The supporters always want victory and nothing else. So if you don’t win, they bark against you but no problem”

Meanwhile, he has promised his outfit will be Ghana Premier League title contenders in the 2-24/25 season.

“We will be Ghana Premier League title contenders next season” he said.
