Heart of Lions boss  has described their Ghana Premier League match week 28 game against Bechem United as a war.

The veteran trainer felt his team was maltreated in the clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem on Saturday.

Bashir Hayford felt the treatment was not right and delayed the game by over 20 minutes by sitting in the middle of the pitch with a chair.

Speaking after the game, the former AshantiGold trainer did not hold back with his assessment of the situation, likening it to war.

"In my 30 years in the game, I have never witnessed anything like this. It felt more like a war than a football match,” Hayford told Akoma FM.

Heart of Lions took the lead after nine minutes through Emmanuel Ofori Sakyi before the home side equalized in first half stoppage time through Francis Acquah.

Heart of Lions remain in the relegation zone with 29 points from 28 games, three points away from safety.
