Bechem United youngster Clinton Duodo set to join Steven Gerrard Academy

According to local media sources, former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is likely to bring Bechem United sensation Clinton Duodu to his academy.

Last season, the 16-year-old made a spectacular debut in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League, and his performance did not go unnoticed.

Several videos of the potential prospect were seen by European scouts, who recommended him to Rangers coach Gerrard, who promptly arranged for his arrival in the United Kingdom.

The youngster will fly to England in the coming days, according to Bechem United CEO Kingsley Owusu Achau, where he will balance education and football.

“We have planned a proper educational system for him in the UK because he is a young player so he cannot abandon education and solely focus on football,” Achau told Asempa FM in an interview.

“He will join the Steven Gerrard academy where he will be able to play and study in school at the same time,” he added.
