Belgian international of Ghanaian descent Jeremy Doku on target as Manchester City hammer Huddersfield Town

Belgian international of Ghanaian descent Jeremy Doku delivered an outstanding performance to help Manchester City secure an emphatic win over Huddersfield Town in the English FA Cup.

The former Stade Rennais attacker made substitute appearance as his outfit cruised to a resounding 5-0 win over the English Championship club on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.

Doku, who was introduced in the 57th minute mark, made his presence felt after registering his name on the scoresheet to seal win for the English Champions.

England international Phil Foden opened the scoring for the host in the 33rd minute mark before Julián Álvarez doubled the advantage in the 37th minute as the first half ended 2-0.

After the break, Ben Jackson scored an own goal to extend Manchester City’s lead in the encounter in the 58th minute before Phil Foden fired home his second goal to make it 4-0 for the host.

Doku cemented victory for Manchester City after connecting from Kevin De Bruyne’s pass in the 74th minute.

The 21-year-old Belgian-born Ghanaian has settled in well at Manchester City, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 20 games across competitions.
