Ben Mee Hails Influence of Burnley Teammate and Claims 'He Does a Job That Nobody Really Notices'

As per theLancashire Telegraph,Ben Mee has come out and praised his Burnley teammate Dean Marney -the former Spurs midfielder is desperate to be forthe weekend trip to Stoke, and Mee is in no doubt as to his colleague's importance to the team.


Marney limped out of Burnley's previous Premier League encounter against Manchester City with a nerve problem and is facing a race against time to be fit for the weekend - it was a particularly memorable match for Marney who scored his first goal since 2014.

Having started all of Burnley's league games this season, 32-year-old Marney's record looks to be in real jeopardy.


Meanwhile, Mee has praised the work Marney has done in Burnley's three-man midfield this season.


The 32-year-old is one of four Burnley players to have started every league game this season, but that record could be in jeopardy at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

He's been brilliant,� said Mee.It's a shame he came off with an injury. He does a job that nobody really notices. It's important for us he carries on doing that job.


It was nice for him to get a goal. It was a great finish and a good bit of quality.


Although Sean Dyche's teamlost toCity, it was a proud day for 27-year-old Mee, who wore the captain's armband due to the fact clubcaptainTom Heaton missed the game witha calf injury.
