Daniel Tackie, the agent for Benjamin Afutu says his client parted ways with Eastern Company FC not because of his performance.

The combative midfielder left Hearts of Oak at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The 27-year-old joined Egyptian side Eastern Company SC on a four-year deal as a free agent after leaving Hearts of Oak.

But the enterprising midfielder has terminated his contract and is currently back in Ghana.

Speaking to Happy FM, Daniel Tackie indicated Afutu who was the club’s best player terminated his contract following the club’s inability to honor part of the deal.

“Afutu was Eastern Company’s best player but the club is unprofessional, they weren’t paying Afutu that’s why the player is back to Ghana”

Meanwhile, he has refused to rule out a return to Hearts of Oak.

“We will consider Hearts of Oak if they approach my player officially,” he said.
