Berekum Chelsea set to re-sign Edward Kpodo

Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea are set to re-sign Edward Kpodo in the on-going transfer window, according to Graphic Sports.

The 30-year-old is a free agent after ending his two-year stint with Armenian outfit, Urartu, this summer.

Negotiations between Chelsea and Kpodo are in an advanced stage and an official announcement is expected in the coming days.

He was part of the Berekum Chelsea team which won the Ghana Premier League in 2011 and also reached the CAF Champions League Group stage.

The defender moved to Russian outfit Khimki in 2013 and subsequently also played for Armenian clubs Ulisses, Gandzasar, Shirak, Banants, and Urartu FC.
