Berekum Chelsea striker Stephen Sarfo on PSL side Kaizer Chiefs' radar

South African side Kaizer Chiefs are reported to have expressed interest in Ghanaian player Stephen Sarfo.

According reports in South Africa Chiefs want to make the Berekum Chelsea striker their top target in search for a number nine.

Coach Komphela's side have been monitoring Sarfo for several months now and were impressed with his showing at the recent West Africa Football Union Nations Cup. Sarfo finished as the tournament’s leading scorer.

The 23-year-old is also currently topping the Ghana Premier League's scoring charts with 15 goals, with two games still to be played.

He is currently on the books of Berekum Chelsea, which is based in the town where former Chiefs assistant coach John Paintsil hails from.

Paintsil is said to be playing a role in motivating the case of his countryman, who is expected to arrive in Naturena before the end of the year if Amakhosi win the race for his services.

There is also apparently interest from North Africa and Scandinavian clubs in the free-scoring forward.
