Footballghana.com can report that Beşiktaş’ interest in Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has intensified as they look to poach him from Kayserispor in the January transfer window.
As we reportedly earlier, the former Atletico Madrid man is of high demand among clubs in the Turkish Super Lig as well as in Europe.
It is understood that a move is inevitable at this stage due to the current financial crisis of Kayserispor.
In line with that, Beşiktaş is hoping to make a move when the transfer window opens to get their man in a bid to reinforce their team for the second round of the 2019/2020 Turkish Super Lig.
Confirming the interest in the player, Beşiktaş manager Mucib Avcı Abdullah shared, “We are closely interested in Mensah. If its appropriate, we will go him. We would like to include him in our squad. our staff”.
He continued, “We will discuss the issue with the club involved and will let you know."
Bernard Mensah’s current contract with Kayserispor will run out in 2021 but if Beşiktaş is able to succeed in negotiations with his club, they should be able to get their man.
