Besiktas has proposed to Kevin-Prince Boateng to lower his annual salary by a small discount to have his stay made permanent at the end of his loan spell, footballghana.com can report.

The Ghanaian international joined the Turkish Super Lig club on a 6-month loan deal from Italian Serie A club Fiorentina.

In his contract with the Black and Whites, it was established that KP Boateng will be signed permanently if he made more than 10 appearances.

After making 6 appearances, the league was unfortunately suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has virtually brought the whole world on its knees.

At a meeting between the management of Besiktas and KP Boateng, the two parties agreed that they would like to continue working together for another season.

In line with that, Besiktas has noted that they will exercise the option to purchase when the league season resumes and he plays the remaining required 5 matches.

They have however proposed that he lowers his annual salary for next season which will be 1.7 million euros.

KP Boateng is understood to be calm on the proposal but has asked for time to think about it.
