Black Starlets head coach Karim Zito says Black Galaxies defeat to Madagascar in their first group game at CHAN 2023 in Algeria shocked him.
According to Karim Zito the team had a great preparation for the tournament and gave Ghanaians hope but what he saw was far from what the team showed during their preparations.
Ghana was beaten 2-1 by Madagascar, Solom Raza scored the first goal for Madagascar, Olivier Tokinantenaina added the second goal and substitute Augustine Agyapong scored the consolation goal for Ghana with a wonder strike in the 67th minute.
In fact it was a surprise to me if you look at the preparation they went through, matches they played everything gave hope to all Ghanaians that we will do something," he told Happy FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"But if you look at the goals we conceded they are stoppable goals, goals that are not workable through minor mistakes from us or lack of concentration,"
