Black Meteors midfielder Dominic Nsobila eyes Paris 2024 Olympic qualification

Black Meteors midfielder Dominic Nsobila says the goal of the team is to qualify for the summer Olympic Games in Paris next year.

The Black Meteors secured qualification for the 2023 Africa U23 Cup of Nations after beating Algeria in a two-legged game in March.

The U23 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco in June this year with the top three teams qualifying for Paris 2024.

“The goal is to qualify for the Olympics because it’s been a long time Ghana qualified. We have to qualify this time around but first of all, we have to go to the AFCON and get to the final and win the Cup and we are good to go” he said.

Nsobila is currently considered as one of the best midfielders in the Ghana Premier League. he has been impressive for Accra Lions in the ongoing campaign.

The midfielder played a huge role for the Black Meteors to secure qualification to the upcoming 2023 U-23 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco.

He was also a member of the Black Galaxies team that represented Ghana at the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria, where Ghana exited at the quarterfinals.
