Black Queens defender, Linda Eshun, has asserted that the Ghanaian women's national football team has transformed into a highly competitive force under their new head coach Nora Hauptle.

The Swiss took over as head coach of the Black Queens in January 2023 and has since done a good job with the team, not losing a game up to this point.

Eshun, who plays for Hasaacas Ladies, made this statement during a press conference held ahead of their upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifier against Guinea.

With an air of confidence, Eshun emphasized that the Black Queens are no longer content with just participating in matches but are now determined to excel and emerge victorious.

“Nora Hauptle has brought so many things into Black Queens. She has changed so many things. I think we are now being competitive," she said.

“Everyone is working hard. Everyone is working for a position. She has been very helpful to the Black Queens."
