Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle breaks down in tears after leading Ghana to qualify for 2024 WAFCON

The head coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle was inconsolable on Tuesday afternoon at the end of the match between Namibia and Ghana in the qualifiers for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament.

The game played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, ended with Namibia beating Ghana by a goal to nil.

Fortunately, the scoreline had little significance on the aggregate score at the end of the two legs.

Ghana’s 3-1 win from the first leg meant that the Black Queens qualified for the 2024 WAFCON with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

At full-time, Coach Nora Hauptle who was overwhelmed by emotions could not hold back her tears.

She broke down in tears as she was consoled by her technical team members as she also celebrated with his players.

The defeat to Namibia today is the first for the Black Queens under new head coach Nora Hauptle.

She had won 10 consecutive matches with the Black Queens before today’s defeat.
