Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle is upbeat ahead of the second leg of the tie against the Copper Queens of Zambia in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Although Ghana lost the first leg by a goal to nil on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium, the coach was impressed with the performance of her Queens.

She is optimistic that if the Black Queens improve on that performance in the second leg and are able to take their chances, they will turn the tie around to go through to the next round.

“For me, it’s important we build on this performance. The players showed a lot of our values, and teamwork, I think there was passion to win this game, passion to play football. Another 90 minutes to go and I’m convinced if we put one goal in it will explode,” coach Nora Hauptle said.

The reverse fixture of the tie between Ghana and Zambia in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games will be played on Wednesday, February 28.
