Head coach of the national under-17 team Paa Kwesi Fabin insists the target of the under 17 team is to win the trophy.

The Black starlets beat host Gabon 5-0 in the second game of the group with captain Eric Ayiah scoring a brace, Emmanuel Toku also added two before substitute Patmos Arhin grabbed the final goal.

Ghana are two times champions of the tournament and are now through to the semis with a game left in the group stages.

“I think when we first met I said our first target was to qualify for the world cup. Now that we have qualified for the world we will do what we can to get to the final and probably win it,” he said after the game.

Coach Paa kwesi Fabin’s first objective was to qualify for the World which they did in style after winning the first two game, scoring nine goals in the process and conceding none.
