Black Starlets players presented with $ 1000 each after Niger victory

The players of the national under-17 team, the Black Starlets have each been presented with $ 1000 after reaching the finals of the Africa Junior Championship in Gabon.

 

The Black Starlets reached the finals of the competition after beating Niger 6-5 on penalties.

 

The team has produced some stunning performances including scoring nine goals in two games.

 

According the promise made by the government the players were presented their $ 1000 each by the Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide.

The Black Starlets can make an additional $ 5000 if they beat Mali to win the trophy.

 

Ghana are back in the finals after losing in the 2005 edition to Congo.
