Black Starlets secure semi-final place after thrashing Gabon

The Starlets look very promising after being the first team to book their spot in the semi-finals of the on-going U17 youth championship in Gabon after humiliating the host nation in a 5-goal thriller.

The expectations were high after they defeated Cameroon in their opening game by 4 goals to nil. The captain of the side Eric Ayiah took his goal tally to 5 goals in just two games and currently the top scorer of the competition.

The starlets have score nine goals and still managed to keep a clean sheet in their two game so far.

Emmanuel Toku was awarded the man-of-match after hitting the back of the net twice Goals from Eric Ayiah, Emmanuel Toku and Patmos Arhin secured a comfortable win and qualification for the Black Starlets of Ghana. By: George Atuah
