Black Stars coach Chris Hughton at Aliu Mahama Stadium to watch RTU V Nsoatreman FC in MTN FA Cup quarterfinal game

Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton has made a trip to the Aliu Mahama Stadium to watch the MTN FA Cup second quarterfinal game between Real Tamale United and Nsoatreman FC.

The former Premier League manager was at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu to watch Dreams FC v Legon Cities on Friday in the first game of the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

After extra time, Dreams defeated Legon Cities to book a place in the semifinal of the tournament.

Hughton has already watched some games in the topflight following his appointment as the head coach of the Black Stars last month.

The former Brighton boss pledged to monitor players in the local league as he aims to build a solid national team.

Hughton watched his first game at the Accra Sports Stadium between Great Olympics and Berekum Chelsea.

He then made a trip to the Baba Yara Stadium to watch the Black Meteors clash against Algeria in the 2023 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers. A game Meteors secured a 2-1 goal aggregate to book a place in the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco later this year in June.

In an outstanding game between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal on Wednesday, the former Spurs manager was in Kumasi to watch the game.

His trip to the Aliu Mahama Stadium was accompanied by Black Stars assistant coach, Didi Dramani and Team Manager, Mohamed Ameenu Shardow.

Chris Hughton who replaced Otto Addo on a 21-month deal has made a good start by recording a win and draw in his first two games played against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers last month.

The FA Cup game will continue on Sunday and on Monday with Skyy FC hosting Ebusua at Daboase.

Aduana Stars will be hosted by King Faisal at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Kumasi.
