Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes the team’s problems are more than just coaching following their recent drop-off in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their first qualifying game last week before drawing 1-1 against Niger in the second game.

Many believe Otto Addo’s coaching has been too passive and contributed to the poor results.

However, Agyemang-Badu asserts that much more needs to be done to change the team’s fortunes and ensure qualification for the Morocco AFCON.

“There is a lot to be done in the team with the captains, management, and those with experience; they know what I am talking about,” he told Asempa FM, as monitored by footballghana.com.

“There’s a lot we all have to do to ensure they recover and we qualify for the AFCON; otherwise, we will all watch the tournament on TV.”

Ghana now has to win their remaining four games to avoid depending on other results for AFCON qualification.
