Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan named sub-committee chair for Dr. Bawumia’s manifesto team to lead Sports

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan is set to play a big role in the campaign of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he aims to become the next president of the country.

The Ghana football legend has been named to lead the part of the manifesto of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that looks at Youth and Sports.

Meanwhile, Asamoah Gyan has noted that he believes the time has come for legends in sports to come together and use their influence, network and resources to attract investors into the country to make a meaningful impact on our youth in the sports fraternity.

In a post on his page on X, the Black Stars all-time highest goal scorer said, “I strongly believe that engaging our youth and grooming them through these avenues can get them to be more focused, make sports more fun and attractive and eventually bring us together once again just as it use to be in past.  I have started this journey and I humbly invite all my colleagues to join in this cause in reclaiming our football days.”
