Midfielder Afriyie Acquah makes debuts in Al Batin 2-1 home win over Abha Club Saudi Arabia Pro League

Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah featured for Saudi Arabian side, Al Batin in his first league game for the club after making the move from Turkey club Malatyaspor in June. 

Acquah's debut had been delayed due to some administrative issues, so he missed Al Batin's opening game against Ettifaq. The midfielder was finally given the clear to play for the home side during the week.

The 29-year-old oozed class on the ball, showing experience, good technique with his range of passes on full display as the anchor for Al Batin in the midfield.

Yousef El Jebli's goal in the 16th minute for the home side was cancelled by Moroccan international Amine Attouchi for the visitors in the 89th.

Despite conceding 68 per cent of possession to their opponents, Albatin managed to nick the win in the 95th minute through forward Fabio Abreu.

Afriyie Acquah was involved in the game for 90 minutes. The former Torino player will be critical to the club's campaign this season. Al Batin are currently 7th in the Saudi pro league with 3 points after two games.
