Ghana new defender Tariq Lamptey is looking forward to making his debut against Brazil in an international friendly on Friday.
Lamptey, who plies his trade for Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in his first interview since switching allegiance to play for Ghana expressed delight about warm reception given to debutants in the team.
The former Chelsea defender is one of five players who committed to Ghana earlier this year, and are all in camp in France.
“Everyone has been fantastic; everyone has been welcoming. It’s been so good. I’m very proud to be here and I’m really just trying to train hard to give the best I can for the team,” Lamptey said.
“I’m looking forward to the game on Friday. In this game, we are preparing very well and we all want to be ready for Friday," he added.
