Black Stars will be well well-position to compete competitively soon – Henry Asante Twum

The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, believes the Black Stars will be back competing competitively against the elite soon.

The poor performance of the team at the Africa Cup of Nations led to the sacking of Chris Hughton, with Otto Addo returning.

Otto Addo took over the four-time African champions in March this year after the disastrous Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast that ended in a group stage exit.

The team has just one win in their last ten matches and have been eliminated at the first round in their last three major tournaments.

Otto Addo himself got off to a false start: losing and drawing against Nigeria and Uganda in his first two games in charge.

Asante Twum is convinced everything will soon fall in place for the four-time African champions soon.

“The Black Stars will be well-positioned to compete very soon. Let’s all remain calm as the new team works assiduously to get us back to where we belong,” he told Akoma FM.
