Bless Em! Man Utd's Twitter Account Tries to Remind Fans There's Another Draw Taking Place on Monday

Published on: 11 December 2016

Manchester United's Twitter account clearly felt like the clubwere being left out on Monday, as they had to send out a reminder that their Europa League fate was also to be decided following the conclusion of the Champions League last 16draw.

FT: Zorya Luhansk 0-2 Man Utd

It's comfortable for United. They are into the Europa League last 32.

Of course, Europe's elite competition rightfully takes centre stage when it comes to such matters, but whilst pundits and fans have been debating the possible permutations for the three English sides left in the Champions League, very few have been bothered to discuss that other Europeancompetition.

Clearly feeling left out, United's Twitter account resembled a desperate photo-bomber who was being snubbed by the photographer, as they had to remind everyone that they too faced an anxious wait.

Don't forget, the #UEL Round of 32 draw takes place today at 12:00 GMT. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/AnP969KB6c

Safe to say the reminder wasn't particularly valuable to some Red Devil fans, who couldn't resist giving some rather sarcastic replies...

@ManUtd Thanks for reminding us that we are in the europa league

@ManUtd I wonder which unpronounceable team we'll be drawn against #excited

Some could barely contain their excitement...

@ManUtd BEST LEAGUE IN EUROPE

@ManUtd Oh

Perhaps the thought of yet more Thursday night football in the new year isn't whetting the appetite for some up at Old Trafford, but they can at least take heart from their 1-0 win over top four rivals Tottenham last weekend, which has helped to reignite their quest to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Just imagine how excited the club's Twitter account will get about that...
