Defender Emmanuel Ankrah has secured a move to Ghana Premier League outfit Nsoatreman FC in the ongoing transfer window.

Ankrah was a top transfer target for several Ghana Premier League clubs following his outstanding performance in the recently concluded season.

The 19-year-old was on the radar of Kotoko and Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles but he has decided to join Nsoatreman FC after reaching an agreement with the club.

He joins from Bofoakwa Tano, who suffered relegation at the end of the domestic top-flight campaign.

Ankrah was a standout performer for the Sunyani-based club despite relegation from the top-flight. He was instrumental for Bofoakwa Tano, who reached the finals of the FA Cup, where they lost the title to regional rivals Nsoatreman FC.

The towering defender is expected to play a key role in the club's campaign next season, both domestically and in Africa.

He will join the club for pre-season next week as preparations continue ahead of the start of the new season under new coach Yaw Preko.

Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. They will engage Elect Sport of Chad in the first round of the competition.
