Boost for Real Tamale United as captain David Abagna returns to training after a long injury layoff

Ghana Premier League side Real Tamale United have been handed David Abagna Sandan injury boost as they seek to maintain their status in the league.

The enterprising midfielder after a flying start to the campaign earned a call up into the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.

He was among of the Black Stars 28-man squad that represented the country at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon where Ghana suffered group stage exit.

But the former Ashantigold SC forward picked up an injury in training whilst with the Black Stars at the tournament and since been out of action.

Abagna has recovered and has been spotted training with his outfit, according to media reports.

His returns comes as huge boost for the Northern Blue who are currently struggling in the domestic top-flight.

He bagged 8 goals before injury plagued his season. The midfielder will not be available for the side game against Kotoko but is expected to feature in subsequent games.
