Borussia Dortmund chief Zorc backing Jadon Sancho to replace Reus

Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc admits he sees Jadon Sancho as cover for Marco Reus.

Reus is currently sidelined with injury and Zorc revealed Sancho is now pushing for a regular start thanks to the Germany international's absence.

The teen joined BVB from Manchester City over the summer and is already seeing plenty of action under coach Peter Bosz.

Zorc said, "We still have a lot of offensive forces in Christian Pulisic, Andrey Yarmolenko, Andre Schurrle, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jadon Sancho, who may be a bit closer to the first team because of this injury.

"And of course we hope that in the case of Marco Reus everything will continue to go according to plan," added Zorc, with expectations that Reus will be fit in the New Year.
