Borussia Dortmund Keen to Give Henrikh Mkhitaryan Lifeline With Loan Move Away From United Nightmare

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen to give former player Henrikh Mkhitaryan a lifeline after expressing their willingness to bring the winger back to the club on loan to end his Manchester United nightmare.

The Armenian international joined the Red Devils during the summer transfer window for £26.9m following a stellar season with Dortmund in the Bundesliga, however Mkhitaryan has made little to no impact at Old Trafford early on in his switch, making just six appearances, mostly from the bench, under boss Jose Mourinho.

And, according to theMirror, Mkhitaryan could be saved by his beloved Dortmund following news that coach Thomas Tuchel, as well as club bosses CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and General manager Michael Zorc, are eager to welcome back the player with open arms in a January loan deal after being shocked at his treatment in Manchester.

The 27-year-old is reported to be keen to exercise this move also, and would shine a dim light on the coaching techniques and man-management skills of Mourinho, who has been known to fall out with certain players for their attitude on the training ground, most notably Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw in recent weeks.

Mkhitaryan is a long way off the kind of form he showed in the Bundesliga, where last season he scored 23 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions, however a return to Germany could spark new life into the player that many were describing as one of the signings of the season when United acquired him for an extremely reasonable fee.
