Borussia Dortmund Manager Thomas Tuchel Reveals Admiration for Barcelona and Arsenal Playing Styles

Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed he is inspired by the playing styles of both Barcelona and Arsenal, as perMirror.


This has sparked rumours that the German could be interested in taking over at both clubs, particularly after Luis Enrique opted to his announce his departure from Barca at the end of the season on Wednesday evening.


Arsene Wenger's position at Arsenal is also coming under regular question with Tuchel a potential candidate should the Frenchman choose to abandon his post after not yet agreeing on a contract extension.

"The two clubs have the aesthetic to play offensively, so they are a huge inspiration for me and a great influence on my work," Tuchel said ahead of Dortmund's Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.


Despite admitting his adoration for the two European giants, the 43-year-old was unwilling to comment on speculation linking him with the jobs.


Tuchel added: "I rather feel that I'm not at all interested in talking about the two, so I cannot evaluate this speculation."

According toThe Sun, Wenger has been given a deadline with which to decide his future at the north London side.


The board have given him until the end of March to decide whether he will remain with the club he has managed since 1996.

Tuchel has been one of the regular names tossed around with regards to the job, alongside Massimiliano Allegri and Jorge Sampaoli.


The latter has also been linked with the Barcelona job and with two potential high-profile vacancies likely to need filling, we could be set for some managerial sagas in the summer.
