Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Dismisses 'Half-Baked' Rumours of Marco Reus Moving to Arsenal

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has dismissed any possibility of winger Marco Reus joining Arsenal in the near future.


The German attacker was linked with a £51m move to the Gunners in January as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.


But Zorc has categorically ruled out any truth to those rumours, claiming that Reus has no desire to leave theNorth Rhine-Westphalia club.

Asked about Reus signing forthe Gunners, Zorc told German newspaperBild: "I won't waste my time with half-baked stuff.It's not known to me that Marco wants to leave us."


Reus has emerged as one of Europe's most desirable players over the last few years, but has often expressed his loyalty to boyhood club Dortmund.


The 27-year-oldonly recently returned from a long-term injury, and has since started five times in the Bundesliga, scoring twice.

During his time with the club, Reus has played 173 times and scored 81 goals, and has become a hugely popular figure with the Westfalenstadion supporters.


He was voted to feature on the cover of Fifa 17 this year, and vice captains the club behind Marcel Schmelzer.
