Borussia Dortmund Starlet Christian Pulisic Unhappy With His Performance During Derby Draw

Borussia Dortmund ace Christian Pulisic has expressed his disappointment with his performance during the draw against rivals Schalke, as reported byESPN FC.


TheRevierderby saw both teams cancel each other out during a tense encounterat the Westfalenstadion, which extends Dortmund's run without a win in the Bundesliga to four matches.

Thomas Tuchel's side were particularly disappointing during the first and 18-year-old Pulisic, starting in his first derby in the yellow and black shirt, revealed the feeling of disappointment at the outcome of the match.


"I think we always want to come out with three points, so we're disappointed today, but it obviously was a tough game," the United States international said.


Pulisic and his teammatesfailed to produce a single shot on target during the first half but the 18-year-old revealed manager Tuchel kept the same shape but demanded his side be 'quicker and sharper'.

Pulisic said:"We just kept doing the same things, but much faster and sharper."


Dortmund produced a noticeable improvement during the second half as the American explained:"We got a new kind of energy at half-time and really should've brought in the second half, but unfortunately we couldn't get the goal."


And Pulisic, who was linked with a move to the Premier League during the summer, believes his own performance was not good enough.


"Of course it's a team game, so I'm just disappointed we couldn't win the game. But I thought I had a much better second half, so I felt better. But we'll see moving forward."
