Borussia Dortmund "Will Talk" to Real Madrid Over Potential Aubameyang Transfer

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted his side will negotiate with Real Madrid should the La Liga giants come calling for star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang has been in excellent form over the past two seasons, scoring 25Bundesliga goals last campaign, and already has six league strikes in six appearances this year.

Speaking to Sky Germany asquoted by the Mirror, Watzke admitted the German side may have to enter transfertalks, but also stated thatthe negotiations would not be simple.

"If Real Madrid come knocking, we will talk, but it isn't going to be easy," Watzke confirmed.

"The transfer won't be automatic.

"We want him to stay with us. Unlike other players that left us recently, Aubameyang has a long contract that he has extended until 2020.

"There is absolutely no pressure [to let him go]. I also don't have the impression that he would like to go."

Dortmund have sold an incredible amount of talent in recent years, with Ilkay Gundogan and Shinji Kagawa leaving to explore the Premier League while Mats Hummels, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze all left to join Dortmund's fierce Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

Kagawa and Gotze have since returned to the club.

Meanwhile Real Madrid are currently enduring a transfer ban implemented by FIFA, although Aubameyang has previously claimed a move to the Bernabeu would be like a dream come true.

"Real Madrid is the club of my heart. I promised my grandma that one day I would play there, I hope this can happen,' the former Saint-Etienne striker revealed.

"It's only an aim and I still have time... if they want me."
