Botswana Football Association and Umbro announce five-year partnership agreement

Botswana Football Association (BFA) and Umbro on Monday announced a five-year partnership agreement.

The new partnership with Umbro came as a result of the BFA’s positive strides in the right direction to improve football in the country.

Umbro and Botswana’s recent resurgence in African football makes for an exciting partnership.

Umbro will be the exclusive global technical partner of the national team, supplying the Zebras’ playing squad with the best-in-class authentic competition, training, and off-field apparel.

Umbro will also supply the technical and management staff with Botswana FA branded apparel.

Supporter gear will also be available for the fans to purchase.

The BFA President, Maclean Letshwiti said: “We are delighted to partner with Umbro as our technical partner. Botswana football is taking steps to improve the long term vision of football hence Umbro showed great belief and trust in our ambitious future. It was only right that we partner with a company that can back our plans thus allowing us to look and feel world-class. Our national teams are our pride and joy and our people will now be able to support our teams whilst looking and feeling good.”

Donovan Bell from Umbro South Africa said: “We are excited to partner with the Botswana Football Association again and I’m sure it will be a great relationship going forward. We have been able to secure distribution with a retail chain to ensure that fans can purchase their National Team replica jerseys across the country. The bespoke jerseys will be available in stores early in April 2019.”

Umbro was established in 1924 and is a brand dedicated to providing clothing and equipment for all formats of football.
