Boufal\'s goal sends warning to Southampton\'s attacking players – Yoshida

Maya Yoshida has claimed that Sofiane Boufal's outrageous solo goal against West Bromwich Albion has sent message to Southampton's regular starting attacking players.

Boufal came off the bench to grab a sensational winner for Southampton against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and the club skipper believes that the young winger's exploits should serve as warning for the regular starters for the Saints to step up their game.

Yoshida said: "If the guy from the bench came on and has shown that quality it is a message to other players. Their feeling will be 'I have to score'.

"I have to show something like this. That's the kind of competition we needed and he's shown it today."
