Brazilian coach Ricardo Da Rocha is on the verge of joining Obuasi Ashanti Gold and has arrived in Kumasi ahead of final talks with the management of the club in the next 48 hours.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs tactician has in the past week been linked to succeed Kjetil Zachariassen as head coach for the Miners following the Norwegian’s decision to move to Kotoko.

Ricardo Da Rocha has been spotted in Kumasi where he is expected to meet up with the majority shareholder for the Miners, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong to finalize the agreement that will see him joining the side.

AshantiGold is currently preparing to participate in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup and urgently needs to sort out their managerial situation to bring some stability to the team.
