BREAKING: Ghana deputy coach George Boateng will not join beIN Sports as pundit for World Cup - Henry Asante Twum

The Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum has disclosed that Black Stars assistant coach, George Boateng will not beIN Sports as a pundit for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Earlier in 2022, the 47-year-old left his role as coach of Aston Villa Youth Team to focus on the Black Stars for the global showpiece.

He was named in a star-studded line-up of pundits for beIN SPORTS’ (beIN) coverage of the World Cup in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), however in an interview with Asempa FM, Henry Asante Twum confirmed that coach Boateng will be committed only to the Black Stars for the tournament.

"George Boateng will not join beIN Sports as a pundit for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He is solely committed to the Black Stars," Asante Twum said as monitored by footballghana.com.

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H of the global showpiece which takes place between November 21 and December 18, 2022.

Black Stars will take on Switzerland in another preparatory game on November 17, seven days before their opening game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Portugal.
