BREAKING: Great Olympics withdraw case against Hearts of Oak over Gladson Awako transfer
Great Olympics have withdrawn their case filed against Hearts of Oak from the court over the transfer of Gladson Awako.
Olympics sued the defending Ghana Premier League champions after they failed to pay the second installment of the agreement.
Awako joined the Phobians on a two-year deal before the start of their Africa campaign which they have been eliminated from.
Hearts agreed to pay the 30-year-old's transfer fee in two installments - the first installment was on the 13th of September and the second was to be paid on October 2.
"Hearts of Oak has done the needful in relation to the Gladson Awako case so the case has been withdrawn from the court," Chief Executive Officer of Great Olympics, Oluboi Commodore told FOX FM.
"Hearts of Oak have paid the arrears of GHC50,000 being the final payment of the Awako transfer fee so there’s no case now.
"We wanted Hearts of Oak to accord us respect. The issue was not only about the money they had to pay."
