BIG BLOW for West Ham United as club record signing ANDRE AYEW has been ruled out for four months and will require surgery.

The Winger joined West Ham this summer for a club record transfer.

But he limped out of the Hammers opening game with Chelsea after 35 minutes.

And Jack Sullivan, David Sullivan’s son, has tweeted that Ayew will be out for four months.

He said: “We are devastated that Ayew will be out for about 4 month. He needs a surgery.”

Earlier today Slaven Bilic said: “I am happy with the squad. It is a different situation to last year. When the current injuries come back we have a very good team.

“We are maybe missing numbers in midfield. We were lucky with injuries and had a system of three midfielders and using four of them.

“We are hoping the current injuries come back as soon as possible and @maanuulanzini10 will be back in one week.”
