Brian Brobbey scores to save Ajax from defeat against Fortuna Sittard

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Brian Brobbey scored to rescue Ajax from defeat in the Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon.

Ajax managed a 2-2 draw against Fortuna Sittard in the week 25 fixture played at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

The home team wasted no time to break the deadlock in the much-anticipated clash after Kenneth Taylor fired home the opening goal eight minutes into the game. The four-time Champions League winners went to recess with the advantage.

Putting on a stellar performance, Deroy Duarte scored to level pegging for the visitors just four minutes into the second half of the game.

Netherlands international Kaj Sierhuis restored the visitors lead in the clash after hitting the back of the net in the 66th minute mark.

Ajax were on verge of suffering defeat on home turf but the Ghanaian forward fired the equalizer for his outfit two minute minutes to full time to snatch a draw.

Brobbey has been outstanding for Ajax this season, scoring 16 goals and providing 7 assists in 24 appearances in the Eredivisie.
