The manager for Brighton & Hove Albion, Graham Potter was full of praise for youngster Tariq Lamptey after the player excelled in the team’s win against Watford in the English Premier League.

The former Chelsea defender started for the Seagulls on Saturday at the Vicarage Road and provided the assist for Neal Maupay’s goal as his team cruised to a 2-0 win.

Speaking on the performance of the player after the game, Brighton boss Graham Potter said the player showed his quality and did outstandingly well.

“With his age and with the injuries he has had, it is very difficult to expect him to be fantastic every week, but he always contributes to the team.

“He carries a threat and that is the nature of his game. He attacked well, he defended well and he showed quality when we needed him to, and yes, he did well again,” Graham Potter told Sussex Live in an interview.

The youngster who is now back to full fitness will hope to stay in that state to feature in more games in the coming weeks.
